These are some of the coyotes that have been GPS-collared and tracked by NBCS. Among many insights we gain by tracking them, the NBCS coyotes have helped us understand what factors are influencing their population size on the Narragansett Bay Islands. This understanding has resulted in the development of the “Coyote Best Management Practices,” recommendations and tools to promote safe and sustainable coexistence with coyotes. NBCS is urging all towns to adopt and implement these guidelines.
